I haven't updated in awhile.. which usually means the world's longest blog post and LOTS of pictures.. bear with me!
MORP was seriously a BLAST :)
I had such a fun time, definitely what high school memories are made of!
We've also spent A LOT of time cheering on our pals on the boys basketball team.. Can you say legit? :) Plaid Posse to the death!
I've also gone on lots of adventures lately.. this one hiking to "The cave of no return" in the dark! Me, Madi, Chan, and Bryson made the daring hike ;) I ended up coming home with cactus needles stuck all over in my left hand.. but never fear! Your girl is a trooper. ;)
My most recent adventure consisted of me and Madi taking Front Runner down to Salt Lake to buy Chan and Bryson their Christmas Presents.. We also made it a date and hit up the Temple Square lights :)
And of course our trip wouldn't be complete without a little bit of disaster..
Got on the south bound train instead of the north bound, ended up in Provo, missed the first train back to Salt Lake, hopped on Trax and took an hour long ride back to SLC, get in line for the north bound train back home.. train is delayed for over an hour and we're forced to wait in the freezing cold for almost two hours.. Talk about a Kenz and Madi moment. ;) We ended up making it home a little after midnight! But never fear, we got Chan and Bryson's build-a-bears to them, safe and sound. ;)
Speaking of Bryson.. here's what we've been up too..
He talked me into climbing the cliffs at Camels Cave during Thanksgiving break..
I gotta say, the boy's got something that makes me be a little more adventurous and spontaneous than I ever have been before..
We also have been on numerous adventures during all hours of the day..
Plus I think we clean up pretty nicely ;) ♥
I know I'm only 18, but I can honestly say that I find more and more things about him everyday that I LOVE. He's made me into a better person, and he makes me want to not just be a better person, but to be a good example as well. I can't wait to see where the future takes me and him!
And speaking of being a better person..
Madi is honestly my BEST FRIEND, and we have accepted the challenge of becoming better people together. Starting with going to church last Sunday for the first time in over three years! I honestly am so excited that I'm finally getting my life back on track.
And now, a bit of sad news to conclude my post today..
Awhile back (Septemberish) I hurt my knee in one of our soccer games, but our trainer thought I'd be okay to keep playing and that it wouldn't get worse..Well.. we're into basketball season and my knee has slowly gotten worse. To the point now where I can't even play anymore..
My doctor's visit this last Monday revealed that I not only have a torn meniscus, I might have a torn ACL as well. :( I went in for an MRI yesterday, and we'll know the results and what's going on, the day after Christmas. If my ACL is torn, I can most likely kiss my senior year of track goodbye..
But honestly, I'm not as upset as I thought I would be. Yeah.. it'll suck BIG TIME if I end up not being able to run. I'll most likely kiss any chances at a scholarship goodbye. But with all of the changes I've been making in my life lately, I realize this is just a test. And I've promised myself that I WILL pass this test. With a positive attitude :)
So here's to a merry Christmas, happy new year, and an amazing 2013 :)
